Last week we had a pleasure to welcome first guests to IMC Warsaw and show them our beautiful city. Three groups from Lithuania and Ukraine spend four days exploring multiple sites in Warsaw accompanied with their Polish peers. Here we want to present you a summary of our adventures:
Day one – 11.10.22 WELCOME TO WARSAW
After breakfast in a hotel, all participants took part in an urban game around Warsaw’s Old Town and City Centre. Not only had they chance to visit most interesting and beautiful parts of the capital, but also to get to know a little bit of the Warsaw Uprising. After the game we met again in the hotel for some coffee break, group bonding exercises and intercultural discussions. We finished the day with some traditional polish cuisine and a dance show, courtesy of seniors from Taneczny Uniwersytet III Wieku.

Day two – 12.10.22 LET THE GAMES BEGIN!
On Wednesday our seniors took part in a sport tournament. It was divided into eight different disciplines such as archery, Yenga and dutch bilard. All attractions were prepared by PiłkaNaHali association. We wanted to show our participants how to have fun while stay active.

Day three – 13.10.22 TIME FOR MUSEUMS
On the third day our group visited Warsaw Uprising Museum and The Nożyk Synagogue, where we could listen to an hour long prelection about buildings history and Jewish religion. After a lunch at the hotel a closing ceremony for our project was held. Each participant got a farewell gift. The Lithuanian representations also prepared gifts of their own, as well as some traditional cakes and sweets. When the formalities were over, we moved to a bigger venue for drinks and some light dancing class prepared again by Taneczny Uniwersytet III Wieku.
